Heh, I spot a dedicated Grammar Nazi! :D – But, yeah, what comes along with online dating… do you actually have to do anything? Is it restricted only to XBox Live? Can you still date REAL people? Or does this all come down to that guy picturing sex with your avatar, and telling his friends about it?

Activities include downloading demo’s together, holding hands in Minecraft Xbox Live Edition, and tea bagging noobs together in Halo Reach. 

Yeah, as someone who was eventually asked by a buddy (to be fair, I chatted and played FPS with him a LOT) if I was interested in being his “Xbox gf”, it’s occurred to me recently that I’m not even sure how Xbox Live dating works.*

Aside from the obvious innuendos and potential cyber junk (that doesn’t belong on Live anyway). I mean, what would you do if you were dating online? Game together? Chat together, but with far more sexual implications? :/

Hm. Perhaps he’s shy about asking you to be a FULL-ON girlfriend, so maybe he testing the waters, so to speak.  Maybe he’s looking for someone to have greater emotional intimacy with, but isn’t comfortable having it with anyone he can’t call his “girlfriend”.

Or maybe he’s just looking for someone he can reliably cybersex with. *shrug*

Why do I have the feeling that this guy hadn’t actually talked to her before this? If so, yeah I’d be a little creeped out by this, too.

Yeah, you get entries like this here sometimes.  It rubs me the wrong way too.  FUoS staff will say that they’re more interested in finding humor in messages, than finding examples of horrible human beings.

Well, there will be connection problems, you’ll occasionally have to re-start the relationship for no reason, and there will be a monthly fee.

Don’t even get me started on the achievements.

Whether his comment was sincere or not, I imagine it was put on the site because it shows a pattern. I sure as heck don’t get told that I’m beautiful or have a beautiful – And I happen to have it on good authority that i DO in fact have am I beautiful are is!

That’s kinda cute. It can go from cute to not so cute quickly, but this in and of itself is kinda sweet. Just appreciate that he likes your voice, that he thinks you dressed your avatar well, and he likes that you have some common interests and leave it at that.
