Granted, I’m sure you can be a man and call yourself a bunny and have friends, but perhaps it’s not the most SUREFIRE way to be relatable to your peers. … I’m thinking about this too much, aren’t I?

I just love it when they assume that someone playing the SAME GAME THEY ARE is fat/ugly/slutty/friendless/etc. Um…what is that supposed to say about yourself, you nitwit?

There’s usually a point of cognitive dissonance there that goes something like this: “Everyone else playing this game *except me* is a nerd for putting in time, effort, money, and/or taking this seriously”. It’s a necessary part of their illusion of invulnerability in an environment where they feel safe from any consequences or retribution and they hold on to with both hands.

At least the chavs and pond scum *I* regularly have to listen to aren’t capable of any level of introspection beyond a delusional “I’m awesome because you can’t really affect me, so you’re not real, so I can do whatever I want to you.” You mileage of course may vary greatly depending on the exact game and target demographic, and may also contain a smattering of anger based on false entitlement because you’re playing “their” game that “they” paid for.
