Okay, we get it, you’re a psychopath

Well, at least GhostKingHades‘ promise to report our submitter offers a brief ironic respite from his disturbingly methodical fantasies.

  • http://twitter.com/GigawattConduit Justin Carter

Wow, he must be a hit with the ladies.

  • http://twitter.com/Sm1ttySm1t XBL: Sm1tty Sm1t

OMG! FOUR COLLEGE COURSES IN LITERATURE!?

  • Anonymous

what he didn’t say was that it was the exact same course four times.  :)

  • Anonymous

She definitely hit a nerve with the spelling. I’m amazed at how much time this guy sinks into trying to make the submitter feel bad, when it’s obvious that he’s the one who’s in pain.

  • http://twitter.com/CourtneyyA7X Courtney Nicole

Xbox Live. Serious Business. It can get you killed. Lol.

  • http://taufmonster.blogspot.com Henry Phillips

Isn’t there any way to report these people for criminal harassment or something?

  • Anonymous

This is more disturbing than funny. Can you imagine this guy fathering a child? Seriously, I wouldn’t even blink if I saw a worm like this dying on the street. Take my word for it submitter, every degradation he spewed at you was only a revelation of his most blatant opinion of himself.

    @taufmonster:disqus
What would it gain you? Revenge? The only way an idiot like that can actually hurt people would be by stealing their time and attention.
The most that we can hope for is that Ghosty decides to go back to “working” in Iraq.

  • http://jadedmusings.dreamwidth.org JadeNSC

That first voice mail, was he quoting Fight Club? LOL

  • Anonymous

Robert Heinlein may have been the first to speak of a “Better Dead” List.

  • http://profiles.google.com/jennifergleason5 Jennifer Gleason

I love how people say crap like this and don’t realize how much trouble they can get in just for archived stuff like this… He could end up in seriously trouble for threatening someone so many times at such a serious degree…

  • Anonymous

I got to say I am glad that this one got posted on the site. The way I see it, this individual *needs* help ASAP. All of that disturbing nonsense was an obvious cry for help. Remember what has always been reported about the mental states of those high-profile shooting/murder/rape cases each time, but only after the fact? And in one of his messages he mentioned Afghanistan. Does he have PTSD? We all know what wars can do to people… I’m sorry if I sound like a bleeding heart here lol. For the safety of everyone else who lives and works near him, someone please locate this person in real life and get him help immediately…before it’s too late. Simply reporting and blocking him on Xbox Live won’t solve the problem that this person is a danger to himself and others around him.

  • http://www.facebook.com/DrakeRowe Drake Rowe

Agreed. The sumbmitter should get the police to find this guy and either arrest him or get him help…

  • Anonymous

While I doubt anyone gave this guy much credence anyway, supposedly he’s been a contractor the past two years, but apparently the longest gap in his gamer activity in around the past three years is three months… that tells me the unimaginable shit he’s done was probably landing on his back after a triple back flip in trials HD  and still somehow finishing the track.  I know the last time I saw xbox live work on a deployment or had the time to log in my own profile was FUCKING NEVER.  Maybe he was a contractor for the BK they have at Kandahar or something… I’m sure he’s not a total liar…..right?

Also I couldn’t help but picutre this guy in the ending of Casablanca when he started that “maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow” message, what a modern Rick Blaine he must be to some lucky gal in real life.

  • Anonymous

While I agree that something should be done about this person, I do not think that the submitter should be involved in that. She is the victim here, and I really don’t think it’s fair suggest that she is responsible for getting him help.

Who knows how she feels about receiving such harassment…

  • http://twitter.com/awizardsbeard Berty Archibald II

Hahahaha, this dude has some issues he needs to work out. seriously

  • Andrew Lobb

Wow. That is not even funny. It is just really really messed up… Way to go GhostKingHades giving us guys a bad name… :(

  • Anonymous

At which point does XBL moderators just use this website as their master list of who to ban?

  • Anonymous

Hmmmm…. I’m not sure what to think of this. On one hand I want to know what all was said between the messages by the submitter/victim. Not that anything said could ever deserve to be threatened with death, I just want to know to get an added kick. On the other hand I think this guy should be put in a cell far away from the rest of humanity.

  • http://twitter.com/_gtz_ gtz

This was mentioned on the FB page too, and I’m not sure where that intuition comes from for this submission in particular. She shows her replies to his first text messages in the video, and moreover, is it that hard to believe that a crazy person will just keep sending abusive messages? (Thus her wording of “flood” in the video.)

This submitter actually sent us a much more detailed email originally that transcribed all the audio — then she realized she could just record her TV and sent us the video link. I figured just the video would be fine on its own, so I’m perplexed as to why this one has raised questions of ‘good enough to post’. Is it a feeling of “It’s not possible for someone to be this abusive without receiving death threats first”? If so, we’re caught in a chicken-and-egg problem.

  • Anonymous

Oh forgive me if I came across as implying that this wasn’t good enough to post. To me it seemed that the “crazie” was maybe responding to something between each voice message. I might be wrong and if so I’ll shut my trap. :P

I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that if I feel something is missing in a post I’ll speak up. I never mean to step on anyone’s toes. Just voicing my opinion. It is the interwebs however and stepping on toes seems to be the norm. I hope I don’t come across as a being that dwells under bridges and surprises many a passerby with riddles…..

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Stephen-Spotswood/733756237 Stephen Spotswood

This guys on my friends list…

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Stephen-Spotswood/733756237 Stephen Spotswood

Oh never mind, looks like he removed me recently.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Happyhansha Brannon Sherry

This is what happens when people never go outside and are raised exclusively by TV and video games. Notice that he not only directly quotes movies when he’s trying to be threatening, but can’t figure out how to handle conflict with another person without trying to make his real life sound like one of his video games. This is obviously a person who needs to develop some sense of social context.

As for the unbelievable level of creepiness, um, I guess ick? Maybe the other posters are right. A person like this sounds like they’re about ready to take their violent ideas about how to relate to people out to the streets. Maybe the police need to know about this guy before he does something. I know it’s easy to dismiss him as someone who’s really terrified and would never do any of these things, but that’s probably what people thought about Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold before the columbine shootings, too.

Well. Someone’s got a cause of the moondays.

I think you should call the police!!!

  • Anonymous

“tells me the unimaginable shit he’s done was probably landing on his back after a triple back flip in trials HD  and still somehow finishing the track.”

    Hahahahaha!

  • Anonymous

I really feel as though it doesn’t make much of a difference, but I definitely got the feeling that there was more of a back-and-forth than what was shown. Towards the start of the flood, GhostKingHades seems to think that he’s talking to a young boy and by the end he seems certain that he’s talking to a woman.  I’m not sure that even a crazy person would describe someone sounding like a broken record after two posts.  The “come to my house…” line really feels like it’s in response to a challenge of some type.

But maybe he really is just that crazy.

Still, it’s really hard to imagine that anything GKH said could be justified and I think it belongs here.

Actually, when I think about it more, if this guy is genuinely crazy, maybe he doesn’t belong here.  This place brings awareness to systemic misogyny in the gamer culture and holds accountable some of those who choose to participate in the misogyny.  If he’s that chemically imbalanced, then he can’t really be held accountable to what he says or does, right?  And no amount of social pressure will make him change his mind.

  • Anonymous

I’m at a loss for words to describe how disturbed these messages make me feel.  This is an individual who is in dire need of psychological help.

  • Anonymous

“And no amount of social pressure will make him change his mind.”

Exactly. There are places to keep people like this. By places I mean padded rooms.

  • http://twitter.com/CortanaV Cortana Siffow PMS

You know, I would seriously press charges. I’ve been playing games online since I was a 12 year-old, and even I haven’t heard something this bad. If I ever got a message even remotely as disturbing as that, I’d call the cops.

  • pat oconner

This is pretty much harassment coupled with some death threats. Why is this guy still on Xbox Live and not in prison?

You would be an idiot to call the cops. It’s the internet, if you don’t want to hear what people have to say put your family settings on and block communication. You are no better than the scum of the earth that you were born and raised in.

  • Anonymous

I like how the girl who is on this website just provokes and instigates most of what she receives for the spotlight in the community. If anyone here had half a brain you would know that by now probably 99% of her messages come from those who WANT to be featured on the site either because they think they are being funny (In which a lot of cases they are), so they say something idiotic and stupid. For as disturbing as a lot of what he said sounded, she was provoking him the entire time, not showing what she was saying back to him. You were being no better than him and you were on his same level of maturity the entire time.

Not to mention someone like you who actually takes the time to show case others people dislike for you is beyond immature and completely stupid. Yet again show casing a woman’s maturity level.

Women will never change. They are all so much more immature than the human man it’s pathetic. They whine and complain and go off the deep end, yell, hit, and it’s completely alright because a woman more than likely can’t cause any “real” harm to the man. (I agree with that, the man is much more strong than the average woman 99% of the time the man will win. In rare cases the men better watch it! lol). Yet when a man raises a voice he’s automatically being abusive or subjective to the woman. This society has been lead to believe that a woman can tell a man what to do, but if a man tells a woman what to do, he should be jailed or is being “controlling”.

Your victim-blaming and misogyny is showing, z3ro6x.

Yeah he was going along the same lines but couldn’t really recall what the actual dialog was. I get really uncomfortable when I hear people quote movies and try to sound like it’s an original idea.

What a crazy dude. I got the impression that the guy was high on something. But who knows, maybe he’s got some psychological issues.

A dictionary would be a useful tool, however, a *diction ray* would be more handy, as you could fire it at people with poor diction and it’ll improve their skills.

Okay I’m a soldier who has deployed to Afghanistan twice now.  Contractors do not stay over there for two years.  Yes there are some exceptions to that policy but you really have to be a lot smarter than that guy.  Most contractors that stay for more than one year are upper management, IT personnel and certain security groups.  Majority of contractors in Afghanistan do not leave their perspective FOB.  The ones that do are generally engineers, medical or some other type of aid.  This guy is basically just full of it.  No contractor can do horrible things and get away with it.  This guy is just a sad individual who has nothing going on in his life.

I’m going to bookmark this for my D&D group, to show them what happens when you roll a natural 1 on an Intimidate check.

I bet he’s dyslexic and got made fun of instead of getting help and support. Although, what he said was uncalled for I don’t think it’s too late for him.

    yes, yes he was.

I’m no expert, but I’m guessing it’d be hard to get a job as a contractor with an obviously-off-center moral compass and a blatant desire to inflict harm to others, no?  You’ve been watching too many Bruce Willis movies.

Also, Afghanistan would be quite a jump for a person who hasn’t seen sunlight or left his basement in a couple of years. The half-hearted attempt at an evil laugh in a couple of those messages is more creepy than frightening in itself – I’m left less concerned about his fictitious past, and more worried about what a guy who makes threats in such an emotionless, level voice MIGHT do.

  • http://blissful-madness.com Girl Automatic

What troubles me is that most of the comments currently on YouTube in response to this video seem to be blaming the recipient for making the video and requesting the video maker be banned without seeing how they’re enabling what the guy was doing. Ah, internet culture, how dark your alleyways can be.

  • Muhammad Ilham Afdillah

wow. i was going to to say “even i can be more mature than that.”  but i didn’t because i don’t want to spoil my psychopathy. lol. internet is fun.

its also a sad comment on our hobby, I mean you look at the stuff that our community can do when we put our minds to it we can do things like child’s play that have a real impact or we can be this guy……
