lol I just stumbled on this site via Kotaku and it makes for great reading. thanks for posting!

  2. Anonymous says:

    Such a nice boy….saying please and thanks….>.>

Discovered the site via Jezebel – this is awesome :)
Will probably use the submit button at some point, even though most of the games I now play are browser games where no one knows I’m really female.

  4. This messaging wouldnt have been necessary had he used a mic. Actually….I think it’s better this way.

Great site by the way! Via Kotaku, I am.

  5. Anonymous says:

Lol He did say thank you!!

  6. Alex Myers says:

“Oh man guys only talk this way to girls and not guys at all”

  7. alex says:

um, maybe she fucking sucked at playing and lagged on taking him to the heli so calling her a bitch was completely justified? but no you girls would never think about shit like that. everything is always sexual harassment.

    • Anonymous says:

How is that even a valid excuse? I bet you think you’re soooo smart for thinking that one up.

    • Anonymous says:

How in the hell can you think that’s a valid excuse? That’s nothing more than sexist garbage, and you should really learn to THINK a little more before making such foolish statements.

      • alex says:

How do you so easily write it off as sexist garbage? Because of the word “bitch” or because it was directed at a female gamer? It’s a motherfucking screen shot that none of you know the context behind. She could have replied to his first message telling him to fuck off and then team killed him for all we know. Why don’t you grow a fucking pair of balls and THINK about things before instantly jumping to conclusions. Excuse me for doing so.

          sexism |ˈsekˌsizəm|

          noun

prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex.

        • Roxy says:

Maybe THIS wasn’t sexist, but what you said certainly was.

        • Anonymous says:

I really hate to agree with Alex even a little, but it’s true that we don’t know the whole story. I disagree with the notion that anyone is ever really justified calling another a ‘bitch’, but it’s conceivable that JPHILACHAKA was understandably provoked.

Now, the focus of this site is to highlight the misogyny women face while playing games online. There’s a difference between being a jerk to a girl because she’s a girl, and being a jerk to a girl because they’re a jerk to everyone.

We don’t know that JPHILACHAKA knew that he was messaging a girl. Even if he did, we don’t know that his word choice was based on gender (It’s not like guys don’t call other guys “bitch”.) We don’t even know if JPHILACHAKA is a girl!

I think it’s clear that women face a real problem when it comes to fully and easily integrating with the whole of the gaming community. I think a site like this helps demonstrate that problem, but the problem isn’t going to get any better if we don’t judge specific incidents fairly.

        • Jean says:

it was rude, that was enough to get on this site :D It was funny, in a rude way.

    • Anonymous says:

      “Never” and “always”? You’re sure?

    • Anonymous says:

Might sound old fashioned but this old saying comes to mind: “Two wrongs don’t make a right.” Also no one has said anything here about sexual harassment. It’s more of disrespect than anything. Also, it might just be my opinion here but it’s never right to call a woman a bitch.

    • Umm, wild extrapolation here, but I don’t think it’s the girl’s responsibility to be his personal taxi service. If that’s the best excuse you can come up with for calling a girl a bitch, well, I’m not impressed. Teamwork is important, but going to that extreme over a video game is childish and uncalled for.

    • Do you call male players who suck/lag “bitch” too? Just every once in a while, as a special feminizing insult, or all the time?

  8. :/ there more posts I see the more disappointed my chromosomes make me…

  9. TarverM says:

I really failed to see the sexism in this one. Yeah, he may be crude, but this wasn’t offensive. He may have been a bit distasteful about it, but I don’t think he was especially bad…..

    • Roxy says:

You don’t think thanking someone for doing a favor for you, then calling them a bitch for no reason is “especially bad”?

      • TarverM says:

I suppose it has to be in context. Friend of mine in L4D really only refers to me as his “bitch”, so every time I help him out in some manner he is “Thanks bitch, remind me to pay you next time.”…. I guess I’m in a group that talks a lot of trash, I may be a bit weathered to it.

        • Roxy says:

Yeah, I guess it’s different with friends. Still weird that he ONLY refers to you as bitch, haha.

          • TarverM says:

Nah, sometimes, when we’re in polite company, I’m “his little ho”.

“shake dat ass like only you shake it, my wittle ho. you shake it good”.

            Good times, good times.

          • JD says:

So Tarver, trying to get some pussy? Is that why you’re sucking up to the women who made this site?

          • TarverM says:

Is….. Is that the way it works? I really don’t know.

Is that the only conclusion you can reach? Could it be I hate assholes who go around picking fights and only proving women who would be man-haters right? Maybe that’s an answer? Maybeeeeeeeee?

          • Anonymous says:

Must say, nice reply. Glad to see there is some intelligent males out there still. “The few, the Modest, the Intelligent Males.” :P

          • TarverM says:

Oh ho! I’d hardly call myself “intelligent”, I’m much more of “momentarily bright”.

          • Anonymous says:

So first I’d like to point out the sexism found in this post.. Okay done.

And then I’d like to point out the irony:
            “is some intelligent males”

          • Anonymous says:

I see you caught my grammar mistake. Very good, very good. If you must know I was going to say, “Glad to see there is some intelligence left out there.” but decided to change it. But golly me I forgot to change the verb! Oh my! I apologize severely that something as minor as that in a land where “UR” and “U” run rampant has offended you.

          • Anonymous says:

It didn’t offend me, I just find it oddly satisfying due to your comment being so sexist.

Sort of like Karma, you know?

          • Anonymous says:

            Karma? Really? So I made a grammar error and it’s karma? I say that’s a mistake…not karma.

          • Anonymous says:

I’m sorry, I made the mistake of thinking you were REMOTELY literate.

I am done trying to explain something to you in simple English that even an eleven year old could understand. Please take more English classes in whatever country you’re from. Thank you.

          • Anonymous says:

I’m not sure I follow you… You want me to take English lessons? Why would I do that? I’m pretty sure I’ve been speaking it my entire life and know how to speak and write. So if this is how you want to end our little “disagreement” it’s fine by me. I also would like to thank you for being so courteous with your responses! Saying thank you after trying to insult me. I wish more people were like you. Kudos to you. :)

          • Roxy says:

That would just piss me off.

          • TarverM says:

What? He likes the way I move, I like the way he’s rough with me. It all works out.

(Seriously though, we’re just joking. There’s nothing detrimental about these comments.)

        • Something tells me that if this were an expected interaction between friends, it never would have been posted here. If you fail to see the sexism in calling unknown women “bitch” and feminizing familiar men by calling them “my bitch”, you might not be looking.

      • JD says:

Someone women are bitches. It’s not sexism; it’s truth.

        • TarverM says:

          C’mon man, be constructive.

          Or, atleast, funny.

          • JD says:

Who said I was trying to be funny? Women always think they’re perfect little angels, so sometimes they need to be reminded that a lot of ’em are bitches too.

          • Roxy says:

            Obvious troll is painfully obvious.

          • TarverM says:

Kinda, I think he might just be an asshole though.

Question: Who can tell the difference?

          • JD says:

This is the second time I’ve been to the site. How can I be a troll?

          • TarverM says:

I really don’t think that’s the defense you think it is.

          • Roxy says:

You go to sites of a particular interest, and post things that you think will offend someone. You’re a troll. A bad troll. Sorry to say.

          • TarverM says:

            That’s sounds about the definition.

However, I can enjoy a good troll once in a while. They just have to be creative.

          • Roxy says:

Trolls can be fun when they’re creative. Those are pretty hard to come by these days, though.

          • TarverM says:

            Don’t I know it. :(

          • JD says:

This is the second time I’ve been to the site. How can I be a troll?

          • TarverM says:

But…. But wouldn’t that justify the arguement in return that men (Us, I should mention. X-chromosone here.) think they’re amazing superheroes but a lot of them are assholes?

I guess you do justify that belief, don’t you?

          • JD says:

Most men don’t think they’re amazing. I don’t think I’m amazing. I think I do both good and bad. Most women I’ve known think they only do good.

          • TarverM says:

So you’re saying women are inherently irrational, but men aren’t?

            You know, an illogical statement?

          • JD says:

Yes, I am saying. And it’s not illogical; there are well known differences between both genders and women have become increasingly full of themselves in recent years.

          • TarverM says:

I don’t doubt there’s more “anti-men” material out there, but I don’t think that’s the point of this site.

          • Jean says:

Just tells us what kind of women (or hos your relation to women) u hang aroud, and it is your problem- not this site, not the women in the world or the guys hanging here, having a fun time. See it for what it is, and change your girl-friendslist maybe.

          • Anonymous says:

I would really like to know where you get your information…. I’m not sure I’m following you…..

        • Anonymous says:

I believe you have it wrong. Some women ACT like bitches. I’ve never met a woman that was a bitch all the time. Calling them bitches based on what very little you know about them……yeah, in my opinion, that’s sexism.

    • Roxy says:

You don’t think thanking someone for doing a favor for you, then calling them a bitch for no reason is “especially bad”?

  10. Ian Caronia says:

    Wow. …What a dick.
Thanks to this site I bet his ass won’t be picked up to any helis in the future.

  11. JD says:

Let’s be honest: The people behind this site are all fat, ugly, and slutty (well, at least they wish they could be slutty).

  12. Jarlene says:

Female gamers aren’t fat! We’re bodybuilders.

  13. His mother would be proud. Lazy in rl AND in game.

  14. Joe Gonzalez says:

This one is actually kinda funny.

  15. Jens Noblitt says:

Very nice page… gives a view into how women gamers are treated and hopefully discourages these wimps and losers who have nothing better to do than threaten and harrass girl and women gamers. And its definitely better he sent the text message as the recipient can report it and its logged in Xbox Live’s servers

    prejudice |ˈprejədəs|
    noun
1 preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.

Your rant was unreasonable. You chose the words “always and “never” when describing the actions of women.. This is not possible.

You may have had experiences where these things occurred.. but it is unfair to stereotype an entire sex.

    stereotype |ˈsterēəˌtīp; ˈsti(ə)r-|
    noun
1 a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

  17. well this one might (and just MIGHT) not intended to be a prick, i sometimes tell my buddies (and girl buddies… hell we need a word like dude for dude-las) biatch just joking, not that they’re actually are beatches… thoug a couple of them might be… xD CHEERS with the site ppl.

  18. waru says:

Sooo… the trolls have reached the site. Come on, folks, we’re here to have fun about stupid insults, not petty discussions with sexist assholes. Take your rage elsewhere.

    • Anonymous says:

Like it was said earlier, creative trolls are ok, hate-spewing flamer trolls are not. One of these things has now reached the mythical creature mark…..while the other we should have open season on. :P

  19. Anonymous says:

He was doing so well……then he fucked it up….unless of course he is a pimp and goes around calling everyone ” bitch” then I guess it’s ok
